Nine Months Forever Family

Nine months from today, we became a forever family.
We cannot imagine our lives without you-sweet girl.
Cousin had a piano recital today.  We went to watch him play.  Julia danced as he played his songs.  Nothing makes Julia's day more than her cousins.  She does a little dance when she knows that she is going to get to see them.
Julia girl-We love you!!!

May Adventures

Everytime Mama picks up Julia this week from school, she comes home with a new hairdo.  This was one that she sported on Tuesday.  Mama did not even recognize her when she picked her up. Julia loved it.  She just kept smiling really big.
Mama and Julia were not up to their energetic moods this weekend.  They took it easy.  They stayed in most of the time.  On Saturday night, Mama, Daddy and Julia did meet some friends for dinner.  Julia loved it.  She wanted to move into the restaraunt's play area.  Who wouldn't?  It was furnished with a play kitchen, awesome outdoor furniture, telephone and a singing fish.

We are just living one day at a time.  Enjoying each moment!!!

Day 4 and 5: MORE Beach Fun!!

Day four was our last full day at the beach.  Everyday Julia loved the beach more.  We did the same thing that we did the other three days-RELAX and PLAY on the Beach.

 Julia flying her kite.

Playing in the sand.  Moving sand from one bucket to another bucket.
 Collecting shells.
Digging a hole.  Filling it with water.
Having Daddy go get water for her hole.

While waiting to go to dinner, Daddy read her a book.
Went to a cool restaurant called Chef David's Roast fish and Cornbread. There was a painter and music while you waited.  Julia wanted Daddy to dance with her.
Ordered a clam plate.  She LOVES clams and seafood bisque!!
 The gang.
On day five, we made sure we made the best of our last day.  Pool fun while Daddy slept in.

All good things come to an end.  Julia waved good bye to the beach.

Mommy and Daddy assured her that we would be back.
Julia slept most the way home. Daddy drove.  Mama relaxed.   When we got home, Julia cried.  She wanted to go back to the beach.  We explained that is what makes vacations special.  We work hard and play hard.  Daddy took her to the calendar to show her in about four weeks that we are going to visit Grandpa and Grandma.  She smiled.  Then, fell asleep.  We all did.

Day 2 and 3: Beach Fun!!!

We had the most relaxing beach vacation-sleeping, playing at the beach, sand castle building, flying kites, swiming in the pool, napping, eating seafood, shopping and tasting yummy ice cream.  What's not to love?

First Day at the Beach

We  arrived on Hilton Head Island last Saturday morning.  We got to check into our hotel early that day.  We all got ready to venture out.  Julia went into ther first "baby" pool.  It was one foot deep.   The longer she was in it the more comfortable she got.  She made a few friends.  She wanted them to play catch with a fish sand mold.

After a while, we took Julia to the beach.  We were not sure if she would like sand or not.  We knew she liked sand boxes.  We kind of thought she would.  She walked down the stairs and onto the beach with little assistance from Daddy.  Her sand shoes that Daddy got her were perfect!!
Immediately, she saw a family playing in the sand.  She got so excited.
The three of us walked down the beach.  This was the first time that she walked into the ocean.  The water hit her feet.  She loved it.
 She found something!
Our nature girl found a shell in the sand.

After our afternnon, Julia and Mama took a very short nap on the hammock.
Pretty tired girl!!  Going to dinner.
Julia slept in Mama's arms through the whole dinner.
When she finally relaly woke up, she ate some hush puppies.  She has two in her hand while rocking in the boat.  Mama and Aunt Neen shopped.
Daddy and Jack hanging out.

In Harbor Town, they have an awesome park!

Then, it was Salty Dog Cafe time. Julia loved the outside music. She danced the night away!  She was ready for the days to come.
